Re: Bad Religion
Y'a aussi The Defense, Skyscraper, Flat Earth Society, Leaders & Followers, You... qui pourraient être citées parmi les meilleures que "personne" n'écoute.

Re: Bad Religion
.Brett mentioned on Twitter that Bad Religion is aiming for a fall release of the new record..... which, of course, shouldn't come as a surprise as the album will supposedly be recorded in May.
In a reply to a question raised in our forums by BrandonSideleau about when Bad Religion is expected to go into the studio, Jay had this to say:
"April 26th, 2010 is the date i have, so sometime around there. Just a few songs are written right now, it feels like the songwriting is picking up momentum. Baker said he was going to drive up to graffins, brooks and i are going to do some demos with brett, so we have a pretty good jump."
So, again, there you have it. Brian will start working on new material together with Greg (Graffin)... and Jay and Brooks will do some demos together with Brett. Sounds like the process hasn't changed since last time. Brooks (9/11/2006): "We basically always demo the tunes at Brett or Greg's place then the whole bands meets for some serious mind blowing energy."
The studio at which Bad Religion will be recording and with which producer is still unknown

Re: Bad Religion
2010 marks the 30th anniversary of quintessential Los Angeles punk rock pioneers Bad Religion, and to kick off the yearlong celebration the band will perform music spanning their storied career at multiple-night shows at House of Blues in Los Angeles, Anaheim, San Diego and Las Vegas beginning March 17. The band also announces that they are currently writing new music with plans to head to the studio this spring and release their 15th studio album later this fall, culminating their anniversary celebration.
Formed in 1980 in the suburbs of Los Angeles by teenage friends; guitarist Brett Gurewitz, bassist Jay Bentley and singer Greg Graffin, with the additions of Greg Hetson (1984-Present), Brian Baker (1994-Present) and Brooks Wackerman (2001-Present), Bad Religion have become synonymous with intelligent and provocative West Coast punk rock and are considered one of the most influential and important bands in the genre. Over the past 3 decades the band has continually pushed social boundaries and questioned authority and beliefs armed only with propulsive guitars, charging drumbeats, thoughtful lyrics and an undying will to inspire and provoke anyone who will listen.
“The greatest feeling about this anniversary is that it is happening at all,” says Graffin. “I’m mostly uplifted by the fact that a vibrant and evolving punk scene still inspires young people all over the world. If Bad Religion somehow serves as a symbol for the lasting importance of punk, then I am satisfied beyond words by reaching this milestone.”
With 14 studio albums, countless worldwide tours and sold out shows, crossbusters tattooed, stitched and worn globally and a universal community of fans among other accolades, Bad Religion have earned their spot in punk rock history and will continue the celebration of their distinguished career with extensive touring, new website, exclusive merchandise, surprise releases and a new album in 2010.

Re: Bad Religion

Thebrpage.net a écrit:Greg Graffin talks to spinner.com:
Here are some highlights from the article. Click the link above for the full story.
"If we were being offered to play as a heritage act, I don't think I'd feel so motivated. But we're still getting to play every year in new places with vibrant punk scenes, so we still feel relevant."
(...) the veteran rockers will play a string of 12 shows [this is NOT correct as 14 shows are already on sale and more will probably come] at West Coast House of Blues venues with special set lists that span the band's discography. Graffin says that the shows will vary in song selection and theme, with the band possibly running through all of 1988 classic 'Suffer' one night and playing a hodgepodge of greatest hits the next.
A few weeks before rehearsals begin for the shows, Graffin says that he's looking forward to pulling out songs he wrote as a teenager and seeing how they sound today. "As a singer, those songs don't recreate my great skills," he laughs. "When we pull out songs from the first album, though, it's just a ton of fun."
The band has written 16 songs for the album, which Graffin says is "as personal as 'Recipe for Hate," and plans to support the songs on the road later this year.
When asked which album is the band's definitive statement, however, Graffin can't answer.
"I like to believe I can still define myself. If I couldn't, it'd be time to quit. We can still make great albums, so maybe our definitive record is coming."
Re: Bad Religion
Bad Religion to give away album
“To celebrate three decades of Bad Religion, we’ll be recording a live album during our spring 2010 tour, and offering it as a free “thank you” to the loyal fans who’ve been with us through all the sweat and mayhem. So let us know who you are by joining our mailing list below, and sometime late spring we’ll let you know how you can get your free Bad Religion 30 Years Live download. We’ll be playing a few tracks at the shows from our new album, coming this fall, so this will be a great way to get a preview of the new tunes.
Thanks again to the greatest and best-looking fans a band could hope for.”

Re: Bad Religion

Pour savoir de quel côté ils sont (WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON!?
